“We appreciate your patience and understanding as EMS works on the repairs needed to the roads and other work required that allows us all to get to the Ski Area. We hope to see you all real soon.” –Alta Sierra Ski Resort
Alta Sierra Resort in Southern California (not to be confused with Alta in Utah) has been forced to suspend operations to two weeks due to massive flooding following an influx of snow that has caused major damage to the highway that accesses the resort. The notice was issued by notice from the U.S. Forest Service as Highway 155 is closed in both directions due to a massive slide potential. Sending our well wishes to the resort, its patrons and the road crews tasked with cleaning up the mess. We will be sure to update this situation as more information becomes available.
