First of all I’m not sure any of these records should count because I have never in my life seen a bartender pull the shot-ski off the wall for people to drink “ale” out of it. With that asterisk fully discoled, there has been something of an arms race in the past few years between Breckenridge, Colorado and Park City, Utah for the world “Shot Ski” crown.

Breck is currently holding the belt with a record 1,234 drinkers set January and Wasatch Brew Pub in Park City hopes to reclaim the world “Shot Ski” crown on Saturday, Oct. 14 by a slim margarin of 16 drinkers with a grand total of 1,250 shooters.  The record attempt will go done at 2 p.m. on Main Street so if you are in town we suggest you attend.

THE CURRENT RECORD HOLDING DRINKERS:

The Salt Lake Tribune reports this fundraiser for the Park City Sunrise Rotary will include a beer garden in the Brew Pub parking lot from noon to 6 p.m. as well as games, live music and food. Participants with the best costumes can win prices for best regalia.
