This December 9, celebrate the sport we love and the mountains we love doing it at by helping Jackson Hole beat the world record for the most people skiing and riding in jeans.
You heard me right, the world record for the most people skiing and riding in jeans. What we typically think of as cheesy and/or stupid, Jackson Hole is trying to encourage. For one day, stop making fun of the jean skier/ride and become the jean skier/rider.
Why should you do it? To be a part of a historical record, of course. And because Jackson Hole lift tickets are only $25 for December 9th, meaning you can ski the legendary mountain for about a tenth of what they typically cost. Sure, it’ll be early December, so most of the mountain won’t be open, but it’ll still be just $25.
Rentals for December 9th, like the ski passes, will cost only $25 (for skis, boots, and and poles), and those looking to participate in group lessons Cana save $100 between November 24th and December 14th. Just make sure to book ahead of time for all of these great deals. They might not last forever, and they certainly won’t be as available day of.
There doesn’t seem to be much of an official record out there, but Arapahoe Basin may have set the number at 80 back in 2020. It’s hard to tell, as there isn’t much of a governing body determining these things. But, after December 9th, we may have a new number to go by. We’ll see!
I just can’t get over the $25 lift tickets. $25 dollars. That’s cheaper than a day pass at many tiny ski hills. That’s a tenth of Jackson Hole’s day pass price on many days. I’m not kidding. If you go on to their website now and look at the price for a day pass on several peak days and weekends, you’ll see $255. TEN TIMES THE PRICE OF DAY TICKETS ON THE NINTH. THAT’S ACTUALLY WILD. Don’t miss out if you can, is what I’m really trying to say here. Also be a part of a record. That’s cool stuff.
