Picture it: you’re enjoying some lunch at your local Noodles & Company. Maybe you’re having some spaghetti. Maybe you’re enjoying a nice bowl of mac & cheese. Maybe you’re slurping down some pesto pasta. The point is, you’re focused on your delicious lunch. Things are going well, you’re happy, then, *BOOM*, in storms a frickin’ buck, and he’s pissed. Everyone scatters, and the deer wanders through the restaurant. Your lunch is ruined, but at least you’ve got a great story to tell your kids.

Customers and staff at the Noodles & Company in Beloit, Wisconsin, were certainly surprised to have this exact scenario take place. The buck was probably just terrified, not actually pissed, but the people scattered and the deer wandered through the restaurant nonetheless.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the Beloit restaurant offered a “2 Buck Mac & Cheese” special just a few days later to honor (make fun of? celebrate?) the incident. A company spokesperson reports that the deer exited through the back of the restaurant with the help of an employee.

Luckily, no one, including the buck, were harmed, prompting the location to close temporarily to assess the situation, deep clean, and ensure the quality of the food was not compromised.” – Noodles & Company spokesperson

This is why you shouldn’t be feeding the wildlife. One moment it’s a cute experience, the next, the deer are bursting into your local Noodles & Company in search of their next fix. Make sure to put your leftover spaghetti and meatballs in an animal safe container, and use locking trash bins when disposing of your week old buttered noodles!
